Complaints, Compliments and Suggestions

The Department welcomes all comments and feedback about its services.

Access is the Department of Corrective Services centre for providing the professional administration of all complaints, compliments and suggestions.

Access is available online.

Complaints, compliments and suggestions can also be lodged with Access by:

  • Calling the Access-line on 1300 306 922 (toll free)
  • Faxing (08) 9264 1748
  • Writing to Locked Bag 5, Adelaide Terrace, PERTH WA 6832, marked' Private and Confidential - Access'
  • Emailing complaints.access@correctiveservices.wa.gov.au

An Aboriginal complaints officer will normally be available through Access-line. Callers who wish to discuss Aboriginal issues can ask to speak to this staff member.

The public can also make complaints about Corrective Services to other agencies:

  • Ombudsman of Western Australia - for reviews of our administrative actions. Telephone 9220 7555 or via www.ombudsman.wa.gov.au.
  • Corruption and Crime Commission of Western Australia - to report unethical or improper conduct of Western Australian public officers. Telephone 1800 809 000 or via www.ccc.wa.gov.au.
  • The Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services - an independent statutory body that examines standards and operational practices of custodial services in Western Australia. Telephone on 9212 6200 or via www.custodialinspector.wa.gov.au.
