The Justice Policy and Practice Conference is a one-day recurring conference, designed to promote and encourage discussion about the application of criminal justice research in WA.
Underpinning the conference is the role to be played by evidence–based policy in advancing the WA justice system.
The WA Justice Policy and Practice Conference, co-hosted by the Department of Corrective Services (DCS) and the Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services (OICS), was held on 8 April 2009. The focus was collaboration, partnership and alignment of future directions in research.
The downloads below contain research plans from University of WA, Edith Cowan University and DCS; an evaluation of the conference; and proceedings that include presentations of the key note speakers, abstracts of the contributions and a reconstruction of the panel discussion.
