Preventive Programs

Downloads are available below

Juveniles at risk of offending are an important part of the caseload of the Department's juvenile justice officers.

The Department funds a number of community agencies which provide preventative programs for young people. Aboriginal communities in many remote areas are also contracted by Community Justice Services to undertake the supervision of adult offenders on community-based supervision orders.

A pilot Aboriginal Family Supervision Program has also been established to provide more effective methods of supervision for Aboriginal offenders in the 16-21 year age group.
